We call for more rights for farmers because their contributions are indispensable to the preservation and development of crop biodiversity. It has been disappearing since this right stopped being recognized. These rights, defined by international agreements, are restricted by European directives banning farmers from exchanging and selling their seeds. The European Union needs to evolve its rules in order to honour its international agreements.
