A New Governance: The European Commission needs to go one notch further

The European Commission participates in the debate on the approach of governance in the capacity of a development aid donor. If the advances proposed by Europe in this domain – notably  from the elaboration of the European Consensus on Development of 2006 – allow us to mark a breaking point in the debate on governance, but the tools put in place by the commission struggle to meet these new ambitions. How do we bridge the gap between the classical practices of cooperation and the new aspirations of Europe in the field of development?
